The Mystery Blogger Award Nomination

Meta description

This is a long-overdue The Mystery Blogger Award Nomination that I’m finally getting around to sadly. It’s been such an overwhelming year and trying to catch up on everything between work and life.

I’ve been slacking on my end so badly and I regret not taking this time to actually create content. The only pandemic of our life and I couldn’t create anything for the life of me. I just kept writing ideas and planning on doing it but procrastinated.

I did start getting my creative juices back later in the year and started writing again. I’ve done more in the last 3 months than I did in the first 6 months of 2020. I was very overwhelmed that I use other things to distract myself instead of working on the content I wanted to create.

That escapism was my downfall and the last post I did was March 2020 and now it’s January 2021. I’m through with the self-pity, I have some posts I need to edit and lined up. I will try to be more active in the blogging community going forth. I have to get better at what I want to do. Our social media was active so there’s not really all bad in the end.

Onward to the mystery blogger award nomination we got from our lovely blogger friend Nesha! We love his anime reviews on #moe404. I want to thank Nesha for thinking about us. When you get the chance give Nesha a follow for great content! Below I will follow all the rules to this nomination and answer the questions I was given.

I will not be nominating anyone, even though that is apart of the rules. I haven’t been active enough to even think of 10 bloggers to nominate for the mystery blogger award nomination. So I will twist it by making this an open nomination. If you’d like to participate then you can and answer the question I will ask and the rules.

The next time we receive a nomination we should be in a better situation. I don’t feel like we’re forcing a nom on someone. Hopefully, the creator of the award doesn’t mind it being done like this.

These are the following questions I have to answer as well as questions Nesha asked and I will have to return the favor.

  1. Put the award logo or image on your blog;
  2. List the rules;
  3. Thank whoever nominated you and provide a link to their blog;
  4. Mention the creator of the award and provide a link as well.
  5. Tell your readers 3 things about yourself;
  6. Answer 5 questions from the person who give you the awards;
  7. You have to nominate 10-20 people;
  8. Notify your nominees by commenting on their blog;
  9. Ask your nominees any 5 questions of your choice, with one weird or funny question (specify);
  10. Share a link to your best post(s).

One of the requirements is to shoutout the creator of The Mystery Blogger Award Okoto Oke Enigma. You can follow her blog here and also get an explanation of the creation of this award. Here’s the link to that page. It’s great to see creatives making things the entire community can enjoy and participate in.

These are the questions Nesha asked.

  1. What is that ONE desire or enthusiasm, the passion of yours that drives your soul?
  2. What makes you grateful, optimists, and concerned about this passion of yours?
  3. What does success look like in your head?
  4. What do you enjoy about writing?
  5. Do you like cats? What about catgirls? (This is the funny one )

Alright, let’s do this! It’s Gonna be a long one.

Tell your readers 3 things about yourself

My name is Drey and I’m Co-Founder of Soulcial Dreamin’ Entertainment, a media company focused on Music and Nerd culture. I’m 30 years old as of this post. I love to try new things that later become hobbies I expand on.

One hobby I’m heavily dabbling in is photography. If you’ve followed the SDE blog or socials you have seen many of the photos. I really enjoy shooting cosplayers and I plan to better my craft to make myself proud.

What is that ONE desire or enthusiasm, the passion of yours that drives your soul?

One desire that drives my soul is enjoyment. I love to be happy and see others happy. Having a good time with whatever I do is a must for me so I would say being able to enjoy any and everything I do. Like right now I enjoy writing and as I’m writing this post I have a nice cup of tea, my favorite music playing and surrounded by my favorite beings to be around my cats lol.

What makes you grateful, optimists, and concerned about this passion of yours?

This one is a tough one to think about because I know my passion is to create something. I will forever be proud of but the hard part about my passion is how to do it. I’m grateful for having the many opportunities that SDE my media company has allowed me to experience and I wouldn’t change a thing.

Writing is a passionate hobby of mine which is why there is a blog for our multi-media company. We created a well-rounded business that we have to mold some more to clearly get our message across.

I’m usually very optimistic about being an entrepreneur even though it’s hard and I want to have so many things going for the business so that it can reach people and inspire the way I’ve always planned. I always look at the bright side of being about to do my own on my own.

It’s something I’ve wanted for a while because working at the jobs I’ve had they would take my ideas with no credit and still working for them. I’ve learned my lesson and I want to see if I can become a successful entrepreneur.

My biggest concern is that I would fail myself and all the hard work I’ve put in over the last 7 or 8 years will go to waste because I didn’t do what I could have done to either better myself, content, or business in any way.

I want to do too many things at once and usually burn myself out and I’m learning to pace myself and work on things as they come. I do have a lot of things that I need to work on with myself and I also like to make sure I can have a good work-play balance in life.

What does success look like in your head?

Success looks like stability to me. Being able to just have stability in your life makes you successful to me. Financial stability is a big one I’m striving for and I believe that would make me feel successful. Forget all the popularity and having people know who you are isn’t the type of success I want for myself and I think that’s ok to want.

What do you enjoy about writing?

I love being able to express myself with writing being able to write out thoughts has always been therapeutic for me. I love writing on paper mostly but with the digital age here I love typing on my mechanical keyboard hearing the clicky and clacky makes me feel warm inside lol.

When I was younger and didn’t really know how to express myself because I was very shy and didn’t have friends I wanted to talk to about certain things. Writing has always been a part of my life and it probably will be once I get out of my funk I want to get back into writing for the blog on a consistent basis.

Do you like cats? What about catgirls? (This is the funny one )

I LOVE CATS!!!! I have 3 cats currently and my hands be itching to keep getting more but I haven’t caved in yet. I like catgirls and cat boys I think it’s cute.

Here’s my 5 questions for the mystery blogger award nomination to anyone that wants to answer it.

  1. What got you into blogging?
  2. Do you believe in astology? (weird question)
  3. Has anime been an influence in your life?
  4. Do you work well under pressure?
  5. Which animal can be the president of the animal kingdom? (funny one)

Here is one of my best posts to date is my post reviewing My Hero Academia: Hero Rising.
