Expectations of AnimeNEXT 2018

6

Last year AnimeNEXT was so much fun that we’re excited about this weekend. If we haven’t said it already this weekend if AnimeNext and you should get tickets and a room for the weekend. AnimeNEXT is definitely a con to be visited in the tristate area because there is always so much to do and so many new people to meet, there’s never a dull moment going to a con that has so much to offer.

This year AnimeNEXT is hosting a few games in their events section that I’m interested in seeing how they play out because they sound fun, we’ll definitely be there to share the fun on our social media. The main ones I’m excited about is the Match Game, Baggage and AnimeNEXT Jepeordy. I can’t miss these games they sound like so much fun I might join a few if I’m confident in my knowledge of anime. Karaoke is also on the list and that is one of my favorite things to do but I will only be an onlooker since I’m horrible at remembering theme songs to anime since I usually skip them after an episode or two, I know I’m terrible for doing that but I’m impatient when it comes to binge-watching a show.
The AnimeNext Dance Lineup is something I’m excited about because it’s MUSIC! and I love to be introduced to new artist and music to add to my daily rotation. The dance lineup starts at 11:45pm and lasts until after 2am, now I’m not as full of energy as I was back in the day and I can tell you guys now I can’t hang that long BUT I will try my best and get to listen all the DJs play their set and dance, no promises though. The Masquerade is on Saturday and as usual, it is any cons biggest event and this is where every cosplayer gets to shine and show off their hard work, this is one of the most exciting events because you really never know what to expect when people have no limits to their creativity.
AnimeNEXT panels are up on their site and the list is so long I don’t even know where to begin, do you see all the options you have to choose from and picking the ones to go to will be the hardest part since there are so many I want to check out but most likely can’t due to whenever they are scheduled. We will decide on a few panels to attend each so we can tell you guys how they were but damn! there is so many to chose from and I love that we have so many to check out and get to see many panelists again from last year.

The Guest List is one of the most important things about any con because it’s what usually bring people back and AnimeNEXT doesn’t disappoint this year and I have to say I’m excited to see the musical guests and some of these voice actors. Johnny Yong Bosch will be there and many will remember him as the Black Ranger from Mighty Morphing Power Ranger and when you see his list of work you will be amazed he has voiced so many characters and they are probably your favorite shows. Shinji Aramaki is another guest I’m looking forward to hearing from, I hope he has a panel discussing his past projects as well as future projects. Shinji has so much work under his belt that it’s so many amazing shows we all love that he’s been apart of that I can’t choose which one would be my favorite.

I believe AnimeNEXT will top itself from last year and I can’t wait to share the experience with all of you. Be sure to follow us and AnimeNEXT on all of their social media so you don’t miss all the fun. If you’re unable to make it this year I suggest you think about coming out for 2019, AnimeNEXT gets better each year and I hope we get to meet some of you out there this year!
