12 Days of Anime: 5 Anime Movies to Watch on Christmas


As an avid or casual anime fan, you have probably come across an anime episode or special on your journey. While there are tons of random episodes there aren\’t many movies. For my third installment of the 12 Days of Anime, I’ll be listing five animated movies that suite the occasion.

1.Clannad/After Story

Technically, Clannad isn’t a Christmas anime. But the theme and stories a line with a lot of what Christmas is about. There was also a Christmas special for it. If you like romance that leans a bit towards the sad side, check it out.

2. You’re my Santa/ Itsudatte My Santa!

You’re my Santa is an anime about a Santa in training. It was short, sweet and festive. So If you haven’t seen it check it out.

3. Tokyo Godfathers

Toyko Godfathers is anime about three homeless men who find an infant on Christmas Eve, Directed by the late Satoshi Kon, this movie is light-hearted and holds sort magic. If you haven’t seen it, you’re definitely missing out.

4. Sailor Moon S Movie: Hearts in Ice

I love Sailor Moon and even though this isn’t actually a Christmas movie, its theme with Christmas. It has the feeling of the season. Love, Friendship and all that jazz.

5. Mobile Suit Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz

Gundam Wing is one of my childhood favorites. The Endless Waltz was a set of ova turned into a movie entailing the end of the story, It takes place on Christmas Eve even if it isn’t a Christmas movie like half the stories on this list. But if you like mecha and a little politics you’ll enjoy this,
