Lover’s Pledge by Kae Maruya is one of the cute mangas produced out of Yaoiland. Kae Maruya is a manga artist that has mostly all her work in yaoi so she knows what she’s doing. I have been a fan of Kae Maruya since I read Taiyou no Kikoushi back in 2008. Kae Maruya has this drawing style I like that I enjoy when a artist doesn’t make the uke super child like or baby faced.
This manga has 3 short stories the first one is of the couple pictured on the cover Kazuto (right) and Takasugi. Kazuto gets drunk one night to wake up in the bed with Takasugi, Kazuto made a deal to spend one month of his time with Takasugi for 1 million yen and Kazuto agrees to do everything and over time they fall in love and by the end of the month confess to each other and enter all relations!
Second stories is a high school story about 2 friends and one unrequited love also a love triangle that got interesting. The last story is about 2 cousins falling in love but they we’re raised as brothers due to the tragic death of one of the cousins parents they started living together as brothers this is a high school love story it was cute but the cousin thing. I recommend this manga for a light yaoi read nothing hot and heavy happens so this is perfect for a tease or a first time reader.
