The final con of the season is finally here, I’m excited but exhausted at the same time. We’ve covered so much in the past few months and we’re planning to end this season with a bang. The major question on my mind and hopefully yours as well is, what does Anime NYC have in store this year?

One of the main events slated for this weekend is ANISONG WORLD MATSURI. AWM is a concert series featuring popular Japanese musicians brought to a stage near you. The festivities will take place on Friday and Saturday and will be held at the iconic Hammerstein Ballroom. I get the feeling that it’s going down! But in a good way!
Another special event slated is for Fate/Stay Night. To celebrate the series and Fate/stay night [Heaven’s Feel] film trilogy. The panel will feature some of the english cast and a concert from Japanese songstress Aimer who sings one of the themes.
There is also the official AfterParty and Anime Industry Business Conference taking place on Thursday Nov. 15th at the Japan Society headquarters. For all these events, there is an additional admission fee. For more info you can check out the Anime NYC official website.

An events that I am personally looking forward too is the Masquerade Ultra Deluxe. The Masquerade ULTRA DELUXE is a cosplay contest meets a Japanese game show. Cosplay is one of my favorite things about conventions, I know I’ve said this over and over again but this is something I cannot stress enough.

I am also looking forward to spending some time in the Toyko Attack Arcade which is traveling Japanese Arcade. I had a blast there last year and I’m hoping to enjoy it just as much this time around. Looking forward taking in all of the artwork in artist alley. And overall, just hanging out with the crew. There ain’t no part like a SDE party ’cause a SDE party don’t stop.
Don’t forget to follow us on all our social media accounts because we will be posting content throughout the weekend. If you are attending Anime NYC and run into one of us say “what’s up” I may be a bit awkward at first but I promise I don’t bite. It will be nice to chop it up even if it’s just a quick hello.
