Live Sketch & Work Philosophy Panel at Anime NYC 2025
The creativity at Anime NYC never stops flowing, and we’re so lucky to be in an era where people share their tips and tricks to help people that may not have the same resources as them. This panel hosted by Qwertic featured two amazing artists, Brazilian Illustrator and fashion Brand Owner Vinne and Ryo Fujiwara the main character designer for “A3”. They did live sketching throughout the duration of the panel and answered questions from the audience. Ryo had a translator with a lot of personality that always made the crowd laugh.
During the panel, the artist were doing live sketches and talking to the audience. So I’m just going to bullet point the advice I think is important for upcoming artists to hear from established artists.
Advice Share by Vinne and Ryo Fujiwara
- Most of the conversations centered around tips like making sure you get your foundation of sketches done to really set in motion and bring to life the image you want to create.
- Practice sketching every day to improve your art and your style. Work on your art by yourself to figure out what kind of art you want to create to make it fun for yourself.
- It’s not fun when you start working on your art but try not to stress yourself and just work at a pace that keeps you consistent and creating.
- Don’t worry about likes on socials when sharing, just focus on your motivation for why you’re creating
- Your favorite part of creating art will always be finishing your art
- You should want to create art because you want to, not because of financial gains. Monetizing your work should flow after building a community that loves your artwork. When you do get to that point, make sure you work on marketing to get your art out there.
Let’s run down an intro of the artists and company Qwertic.

Qwertic is an Artist Agency that connects creators with their international fans. This is their mission statement from their website.
“The anime-art-related content scene continues to grow rapidly beyond Asia, and its popularity can be seen worldwide. These artists and content makers already have global fans, and their fan communities are separately formed by each language.
However, the business side is still separated by language barriers. Qwertic-chan connects creators from different cultures and brings their works to various cultures.”
Ryo Fujiwara is an artist from Japan and currently has a collaboration with Qwertic and a few events out in California to celebrate the collab. The events have passed, and fans got to meet Ryo as well as purchase her merchandise from the collab with Qwertic.
I love the eyes of her art each one is so expressive and different. The art style is something i would love my arty to look like, but I got some ways to go.
Ryo also has merch with art on it from the collab with Qwertic. Everything is sold out no,w so hopefully there is a restock!

Vinne released his first art book last year. I want to give a big congratulations to him for this achievement. All of his artwork from 2018 – 2024 is in the artbook, so you’re in for a treat.
